Loneliness Got You Down? We Change that Here.
Why have a Bestie?
My name is Paul, the creator of Mailbox Bestie and I'm here to tell you I get it. Being alone is no fun, and my experience happened at the hospital. Nobody wants to come and see you, they cry when they do. You go home for recovery if it's anything major like I went through and get "sentenced" to bed or couch rest. People ask you the same thing over and over and you answer the same way each time because you feel like "crap". It hasn't changed. You get annoyed. You finally have some leeway to move around the house and if you're lucky enough to check the mail all it is is stupid bills...again.

But they don't just get you at the mailbox, it's your emails too. And that's where we come in. We are the friend you wish you had visiting you at the hospital, nursing home, checking in on those who live far from family or has no family at all. The one that makes you still feel like you're alive when you know you may not wake up after that next procedure but you don't want to tell your family you're scared of that. Or the person you want to share your stories with - the good, bad and ugly.

The person you don't know yet but is going to be someone that inspires you to beat whatever it is you're going through, celebrates your wins with you, or is just an ear to listen. You can share it all with your MAILBOX BESTIE>

But it's not just about the letter, it is so much more.
Upon placing your first order - we are going to ask a few questions about you (or the person you are ordering for) simple things like interests and what not so that Paul has an idea on where to start the conversation.

Yes - All letters are handwritten from one of our besties specifically chosen for you! An envelope with a stamp will be included in the gift bag so that the person receiving the letter can write back. And the conversation will just continue. Each month you'll receive a new goodie bag - but the faster you write the letters back the more you'll get each month. There is no limit when it comes to speaking to your best friend!
We look forward to expanding the pen pal service to not only handwritten letters to hold on to forever but text message availability, meeting your best friend over zoom, and eventually a personal meet and greet if you choose to do so!

It's up to the two of you on what you want to talk about, just like the goodie bags every letter will be something fun, different, and exciting.

Let's find JOY for everyone! Nobody deserves to be left alone in the hospital or at home.
